This lil' Guiding light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Went back to Zhonghua just now! Last campfire. Zomg, felt so old! 4 years since we graduated, sad that Guides has crumbled. So many memories there; all our crazy retarded moments. Sucked that it rained, we were really looking forward to a real campfire.
Relieved the good ol' Guiding days while being (painfully) reminded that we were old. High-ed and enthu-ed like we always did, but after a while we got tired. Sad reality. And this generation likes K-pop! All the dance songs were K-pop songs. Generation gap. Oh oh. When the Scouts performed, one of them came down to hi-5 with the audience etc. Jessica See put her hands out to hi-5 but he totally ignored her hahahaha. She was so shocked and her hands were still in the air as she stared at him running around the hall. Epic shit hahahahaha. Should have seen her expression; PRICELESS.
They didn't sing Titanic! Our favourite song of all time. 'There was a stream too'! Hahaha we were trying to recall its name and we talked about the shoe, chair and what not. Watched them light up the campfire afterwards though! Display. Hahaha. It was freaking cool. We were all waiting to see if it was a success and TaiLim was near us.

Wts haha. So many of the juniors went over to become Ventures! They were more involved with the Scouts after our batch, jealous much.
Mr Ang was giving out tokens of appreciation on stage and we were wondering how it feels like for someone his age to don the Scouts uniform, hahaha.
Climbed the freaking awesome structure! Damn slippery though, cause of the rain. Still damn cool! Anw, the fire was damn warm (obviously). Imagine if we had the campfire at the parade square. The heat from the fire plus all our high-ness, woah. I actually miss the smell of the campfire.
Miss the girls like mad! 4 awesome years spent together, I remember how I'd look forward to Fridays, and how we told the seniors we wanted to learn drills when they wanted us to cheer back when we were in Sec 1. Hahaha they were all shocked.

Studied/did my homework at the CC just now. Charmaine sneaked me in. Haha thanks! Gonna reapply for membership there with Grace on Monday.
Boy, that place brings back memories. All the mugging sessions for the Prelims and the O Levels. Haha and I remember how we gossiped at the stairway a day before the Social Studies paper. Charmaine, Jaslyn and myself if my memory serves me right. And all the random roof-top visits. Oh and yes, the day Char and me got uber sian of studying and cam-whored instead. 60 plus pictures if I'm not mistaken. HAHA. Oh wells. Gone were the good old days :(
Met up with Carrissa, Melissa and Adeline the other day, Carrissa came back for 3 days. Cam-whored along Orchard Road, I got my flats from Rubi (:
We were crossing the road after passing Meritius Mandrin Singapore, walking towards 313@Somerset when someone hit me. I got a huge shock. Then I realised it was YunJia. Small world, huh. And she quit OSL! No time, didn't wanna miss lessons. I realised people like us who already have the white shirt can quit easily, etc etc cause for alot of people, one motivation for being an OSL, is actually the white shirt. Actually, alot of us who attended Camp ASPIRE too. We only wanted the white shirt haha.
Anyway, we were talking and yeahh. It's true that your Secondary School friends last forever. I looked around, and realised that many people still hang out with their Secondary School friends. I guess its because we've known our Secondary School friends for a way longer time, and they've watched us mature over the 4 years. I really miss Zhonghua. Especially 4E3!
And all the Literary Fiesta fun, all the rehearsals at Benjamin's house, victory party. Haha it was pretty hardwarming to see the Art students helping us Literature students and yeah, we all had hell loads of fun! :D

its late, the stupid after effects of drinking the coffee from coffee bean on sunday hasnt worn off yet. but i think i shall head to bed soon.
anw, i've been sorting out my thoughts recently. and whoever told me that JC life would be when you'd really enjoy yourself is a huge freaking liar. yes.
i really wanna turn back the clock and relieve those secondary school days. i miss them so much. the teachers, the friends, the stupid school with all the stupid freaking ass rules, yeah. i wouldnt mind relieving those memories.
esp in sec 3, when 3e3'07 was just rebellious. i remember all the discipline problems our class had. ironic, miss ow taught our class but we gave her loads of trouble too. and she was our friend. instead of DM.
all the heck care attitudes when the school changed 6 out of 9 of our teachers, and we got mainly fresh NIE graduates. yes, they were fun to fool around with. looking back, i wonder what i was doing during lessons. lol, i ended up with 4 F9s for EOY, with 48% score. i was still promoted though.
4e3'08 was somewhat similar, fun, hyper, full of nonsense. we got into less trouble, but miss ow still remained as our friend. i still remember the time she wanted to lecture us for going for recess during the lower sec recess but she ended up making us laugh. and she commented that our class is the only class that she can laugh with after scolding us.
haha, the scene whereby our class linked hands and ran across the parade square on graduation day was the max. the entire level, including mr chong laughed. and all the water bombs we hid under mr chong's watchful eye when he made us destroy them, all the havoc we created after graduation lunch, gosh. i miss those days.
and all our rebellious attitudes towards council after the EXCO took over, idk, most of the other sec 4 councillors turned anti-council. my attire was crap, i hardly wore my tie after assembly, i seldom wore my council badge, my socks, and esp my skirt length. one day,
mr chong - while waiting for the bell to go so that we can start the flag raising ceremony, please check your attire. girls, your skirts are supposed to be below your knee.
i was standing in front of 5N1, for duty. i was their class attachment councillor. and when mr chong said those words, i felt miss wong TL and miss tan GH's eyes on my skirt. it was above my knee, haha. and i was a school councillor. exemplary behaviour was expected. me? haha.
anw yeah, all the privileges given to the sec 4s & 5s when we sat in the gallery for assembly. how we laughed at whatever stupid thing mr chong said to the school population. he was scolding us, but we found it funny. he never scolded us. i still rmb one incident, whereby the sec 1 to 3s could stay in the hall for assembly, while we proceeded back to class for lessons. we were obviously not happy, so we started mumuring.

haha i think he didnt expect us to say yes, but we did. he was shocked, but there was nothing he could do. DMs in zhonghua are always nice people. i still remember the fire drill. i was one of the student helpers, and after everything i carried the box with the 2 loud hailers back to the GO. when mr chong put the loud hailer back in, the other one sounded.
me - ahh!!! mr chong!!!
mr chong - (laughs) you ah. we're all so kan chiong already, you make things worse.
lol, yeah. i still remember how we bargained with him regarding council investiture rehearsal dates that the sec 4s had to attend.
the DMs were actually very nice people, if you know them.
oh wells.
i miss all the company.

i can never replay the tape in a different environment. in SRJC, things are just different. different friends, different backgrounds, it's hard to be myself. i havent found the jessica i knew back when i was in zhonghua. i think i left part of myself there. the jessica my friends now know, its only part of the person i truly was from 2005 to 2008..Labels: zhonghua memories
