memories.
This time last year, I was having the time of my life in LiJiang. And I miss this little boy from Nao Yao kindergarten! I was teaching him about shapes and he asked me to help him stick his stuff and colour the shapes for him in the end. Cute maxxxx! :DLabels: SRGCE LiJiang (:

The Prelims were disappointing. This week, it seemed as though all the papers that were returned were slaps across my face. Today was the worst, because I was already mentally prepared for yst's History Paper One.
Irritatingly enough, they didn't count my marks for Paper Two. So imagine the adrenaline rush as I totaled , only to be disappointed. Turns out that I kinda misread the question for the one I thought could pull me up. In the end, I couldn't even secure a pass overall. Paper Two was really a tight slap, seriously.
If that wasn't enough, there was GP. 1.5/14 for Short Structured, I could totally kill myself. Esp when the other components were somewhat better. Back to back, the feeling was uber horrible.
But in 8 weeks, I will make a miracle.
Thanks Jermaine, Regina, Vanessa, Gillian, Jun Zhe, Peter, Marian and all the rest who attempted to cheer me up! <3
At least the day ended on a bright note! Dinner-ed with Alton at Kovan, and we had a nice time reminiscing all the awesome Lijiang memories. Y'know what? I miss Group One a super duper ultra mega lot!
Anyway, thanks for the treat, Alton! :D
Mean guy, he was supposed to give Daniel and me a treat for helping him to carry his bag during the Tiger Leaping Gorge trek cause he was ill but now he claims that Daniel has most probably forgotten that he has a treat waiting for him. Hahaha.
We were super full after dinner omg. Hahaha. Trained to Lorong Chuan together, and home sweet home :D
Tmr will suck cause its 4 hours of Econs. Gosh.Labels: school (:, SRGCE LiJiang (:

open up the gates.
Idk recently I've been chancing upon photographs that floods my mind with memories. First it was Zhonghua days, and just a while ago, Lijiang pictures. It kinda sucks that we can't relieve those memories once again huh?

- My ankle still hurts. This sucks, I wanna go cycling, etc etc but I can't! I haven't really tried, but I think I can't run too. Even uber short distances like 1 metre. I guess I really amazed myself by completing the trek over in LiJiang. First few to complete somemore (:
- I REALLY REALLY REALLY miss LiJiang. I miss Group One! Haha I suddenly remember this uber retarded conversation we had in MALAY while waiting to check-in for our flight back to Singapore. Stupid, Bryan and Daniel know truckloads of Malay, and they started using it against me. Hmph! Esp stupid Daniel Chay. Haha at least I had Liyana to help me. In Zhonghua, we learn more Chinese. In Monfort, they learn more Malay. Wait, that doesn't make sense. Okay nevermind. (: (: (:
- No offense meant, but sometimes I cannot stand girls who take advantage of the fact that they are girls, and get the guys to carry their things for them during hikes, etc etc. I mean yeah, sometimes we get really tired and having the guys to carry our bags for us is a good thing, but some girls just over do it I guess. Its a physical exercise, so duh, we will feel tired. But since girls feel tired, won't the guys feel tired too? If we don't feel like carrying our stuff, how sure are you that the guys feel like carrying their stuff? Note, only their stuff, not their stuff AND your stuff. I don't know, it irks me sometimes when I see this kind of things going on. If its reached a point whereby we really cannot take it anymore, then yeah, I'd be more than willing to pass the guys my stuff. But its not. Now I know why some guys cannot stand girls and look down on them. Some girls ask for it, serious. Bleah. It's a strenuous exercise, for crying out loud, not some walk in the park. If you think you're not up to it, don't go.
- I realised how we really bother if someone dear to us tells/promises us something. We kinda expect them to honour what they said. Compare and contrast that to some ordinary friend. He/she tells you something, but ends up not meaning it. You wouldn't mind as much. Right? Or is it just me. I don't know.
- My throat's still sore. I realise many people fell sick. Either during the trip itself, or afterwards. At least I'm no longer coughing. I coughed like mad in LiJiang, my nose was ultra naughty. At least my nose tamed down, and I no longer cough. It's just pain whenever I swallow. Speaking of which, Alton and Bryan fell sick during the trip. Towards the end. AND. Seriously, I prefer the Alton and Bryan who're well, healthy and as fit as bulls. Because, they became more nonsensical and kept bullying me! Pffft! Haha they were annoying to the max, I swear.
- I wanna develop some nice pictures from the LiJiang trip and paste them on my room wall! Then I can look at them and smileeee. Okay. It sounds retarded. But yeahh (:
Okay, I know this post is uber random. HAHA. On another note, Christmas is coming!
But I don't have money to shop! No pocket money since I don't really go to school, and it totally sucks. :( Nonetheless, I'll still have fun this Christmas. Afterall, Christmas ain't only about giving and exchanging gifts. Its about the birth of Jesus! :DLabels: SRGCE LiJiang (:

I think I should start packing my room soon. I just can't stand looking at the mess. But I guess that'll have to wait till I catch up on all the lost sleep. I realised, in LiJiang I slept past 1am and woke up around 6am DAILY. Apart from the last day, 5am and 7am. Absolute madness, I tell you. I didn't realize how shagged i was until we returned to Singapore.
At least we all had fun in LiJiang. It was a totally wonderfully awesome experience.
GROUP ONE GIRLS (: I realized something: we took a total of 4 flights; I had the same row mates 3 out of 4 times; I got a window seat all the time. :D
 WINDOW SEAT :D
Haha retarded, on the way there, Julia was telling Zhen Yi and me to look at the wing. Apparently fire will appear when taking off o.o She got scammed by cartoons. And she made Zhen Yi and me believe her -.-" I realised not all airlines give you poker cards. We wanted to get, but China Eastern doesn't provide any. At least Alton had, but our game was interrupted by the serving of breakfast, and we didn't continue afterwards, haha we all wanted to sleep already. The food was gross anyway.
Extreme change in temperature when we reached Kunming; 15 degrees celcius if I'm not mistaken. Had Daniel and Ting Wei for my row mates this time, and everytime we saw a hill, Daniel would go, 'hey is that the Tiger Leaping Gorge?' Haha and in case you didn't know, there were MANY hills in that area. Mr Ang was seating in front of us and at one point in time, he (finally) turned around and went,'eh friend, Tiger Leaping Gorge is over at the other side.'
Lunch turned out pretty nice, 10 dishes per meal if I'm not mistaken. Yes, it was nice because we just reached the country, we didn't know what to expect. But I guess we all had a pleasant surprise when we reached our hotel. We lived in vilas, with 8 people to one vila. The vila was just like a chalet, seriously. Dinner was more awesome, most of the dishes were spicy. Yum yum :D Haha and I think it must have been the difference in altitudes or something, I ate 5 bowls of rice that day o.o At least I wasn't the only one. Alton ate 8, Daniel ate 10.
CIPs at the schools really made us realize the importance of being creative and thinking on the spot. Actually, not only the CIP. Almost the entire trip, I must say. Things were constantly changing, even our itinerary, and the schools we visited, for that matter. Seeing how eager the children were to learn, really put some of us to shame I guess. They soaked up new information like sponges, and they were so eager to learn.
 ADORABLE AIN'T THEY (:
:D But I guess the children in one school shocked us all. It was the 2nd day of CIP, and we were at Yong Sheng Village. Initially we were supposed to split up at visit 3 schools simultaneously, but we decided to visit schools one at a time. We were at the kindergarten, but some of us didn't get to enter the classrooms due to the lack of space, so we sat outside to plan for the next segment, as to how we could give out all the toys to the children.
News came that we might not have enough time to complete our CIP if we went to the primary school later, so my group and another group left for Zhang Fei Primary. We had a press conference kind of thing! Haha it was quite cool, but i think there was a wastage of resources. There were many kids welcoming us, and there were i think about 20 of us? Including the teachers.
Anyway, we taught a Primary 3 class, and omg, they were way smarter than we imagined. Our planned lesson ended way earlier than expected, and suddenly Miss Toh came up, and told me to extend the lesson to stall for time. o.o Taught them other stuff, and yeah, they were able to comprehend them too. That class of children seriously amazed me. We had alot of extra toys and stationery sets to distribute, and it was literally a mad rush when we told them, 'we have extras, who wants them?' In the end, Bryan gave them the paper box too -.-"
 THE UBER SMART CLASS.
Performance at that school, and Marc, Emilia, Shawn and me were sabo-ed to demonstrate the Chicken Dance to the whole school -.-" We had night performance at the village later that night, and woah, half the village was there. Total shocker, it was super crowded, plus it was dark too, and we had to stay in our groups. HAHA Ting Wei dropped her torch and it almost went into the 'toilet bowl'. Played with firecrackers later that night! Super duper ultra mega cool! (:
AND I HATE THE VILLAGE FLOOR! My ankle was aggrevated earlier that day. I don't know why, but in one of the classrooms my ankle suddenly moved to one side and it hurt to the max. Kinda limped around, and the village floor was rocky! There were countless times where my right leg stepped onto a huge rock i tell you. Uber pain. Its like minor spraining of my ankle x 100. Bleah.
Had steamboat for dinner the next night, and oh my goodness, it was totally not what we expected. Soup, plus a whole trolley of vegetables. o.o
 VEGETABLES FOR STEAMBOAT
The only meat we had was found in the soup. In the end, we ate the melon seeds found on our table and started gossiping. Haha and trust me, it was totally random. I don't know why I suddenly started gossiping with Daniel. Talked about guys annoying guys, guys who were play-boys, etc etc. And seriously, we should bring out yearbooks when we want to gossip. Its better to have a face to the name. Otherwise, you'll tend to forget parts of what was being said. And, its like all of a sudden, I bonded with Daniel -.-" Uber random.

Trekked at the Tiger Leaping Gorge the next day, and thank God is all I want to say. I don't know how I managed to trek all the way, with the state of my ankle. Amazingly, it only started hurting halfway through. Alton fell sick, and Daniel and me took turns carrying his bag. That guy has a sheer amount of determination I tell you. He had a fever, and he still insisted on going on the trek. Plus, he wanted to carry his own bag. AND. even when he couldn't take it, he still said he could. He looked damn sickly, but when I asked if he was okay, he still told me he was.
 GROUP ONE; ON THE BOAT.
But the trek was uber fun, esp the first part. Replica of spiderman siol! But it was deemed too dangerous, so only my group went that route. Too bad, the rest of the groups missed the fun. (: I learnt one thing: the SRJC jacket can double up as a bag! Haha for the entire trek, that was Daniel and my bag! Good idea, Daniel :D AND. I don't know what is it about ODAC that people look down upon. Bleah. Halfway through we met Marc and some other people, and they started talking about ODAC. Jessica - Eh! ODAC people very fit okay! Marc - Who's the fittest in ODAC? Jessica - Hmmm. The President I think.
After a while, it was only Daniel and me walking. Daniel - Eh ask you uh, the fittest in ODAC, got as fit as the sprinter not? Jessica - Huh. Sprinter? Daniel - Yar, you know the one, short distance sprinter. Represent the school.. Jessica - Got uh? Never hear before. Daniel - Nor, that one who went for the LiJiang trip...
Hearing that, I gave him the -.- face and walked away. HAHA. Shit you, Daniel. I realised that for most of the trek, we were together and we were the first to finish it and reach the jetty to take the boat back to the other side. He reached first, I was seconds behind him. Daniel - Eh not bad, you quite fit uh! Jessica - ODAC mah! :D Daniel - -.-"
Anyway, he's damn scatterbrained I tell you. Reached the top after we boarded the boat, and we were waiting for the rest of our group. The view was quite scenic, we took out our cameras. He searched his jacket, to no avail. And his face started being panicky. After a while, he realised it was in his pants pocket all along. Nice one, seriously. HAHA. We were initially right in front, but we ended up right at the back.
Mr Tan - Young man, you gotta be more organised. You're gonna spend alot of weekends in camp during NS if you continue. You need to compartmentalize your things. Miss Toh - First time I see Daniel so warm. Normally he's all huddled up. Mr Tan - You guys are wearing too much.
Daniel and me looked at one another and had the huh look. We were just wearing shirt and pants! -.-" Maybe it was the jacket. Anyway, come to think of it, his invention's rather cool! Looks like an apron kind of thing. But the jacket became uber gross and dusty afterwards. Some of the orange parts turned gray and all. Yuck. Too bad I don't have a picture of both of us in that thingy. But I think Mr Ang did take one of us. Not sure if it was successful. Hiking buddy, I had loads of fun that day nonetheless! Thanks for everything (:
 ACT CUTE!
And I realised I ate very little that day. The food was gross to the max. Less than half a bowl of rice each time. Plus I ate quite little while trekking too. Oh wells, I guess I have my moods. That night was fun to the max! Room-ed with Emilia and Regina and haha, laughed like no one's business. Our room was like some prisoner's room, the lights were those whereby you pull and the light comes on kinda thing. Haha and we tied the string to the door knob, so the light would come on whenever someone opened the door. We kinda forgot about it in the morning, then when Daniel opened the door to ask if I had the life jackets i literally screamed, cause the room when pitch-black. And OMG haha we were in a rush to go for breakfast, so Regina just yanked the door open, and the wire came out from the ceiling o.o Sorry future occupants, the light is spoilt. HAHAHAHA. :D
Visited the snow mountain afterwards, stopped by for a group photo with the mountain along the way. This incident's so dumb that I can't seem to forget it. Haha we went down the bus, and Daniel wanted to put on his outer-coat cause it was freezing. He handed me his camera, so he could put it on. After wearing, Daniel - Oh shit oh shit! Where's my camera? I seriously gave him the -.-" face and handed it to him. Oh my goodness. That guy's seriously hilarious. After that incident he started telling me what he brought along and where he put it. So I could remind him when he starts to panic. His new favourite line became, 'Relax! Don't panic!' Dumb ttm. Haha.
The snow mountain was just magnificent, woah. But going to the peak was hard, with the difference in altitudes. Climbed with YunJia, and each time I stopped, I used that as a motivation. Each time that became nearer, I stopped resting and started again. Lame, yeah. But it worked! :D Cam-whored at the peak, photos mainly with Miss Toh (: OH haha halfway through YunJia lagged behind, Emilia caught up. And it got warmer and warmer, we started stripping, literally. Haha from 6 layers down to 2 layers. Miss Toh said we looked like laundry women -.-"
Anyway, reached the hotel, and I thought I lost my phone! I wanted to charge it, but it was not in my bag! I panicked, and searched everywhere. No phone, Liyana searched my bags, nothing. Regina came over, flipped the place, no phone. Told Mr Ang, he asked the entire group to check the bus. Still no phone. Mr Lim talked to me about it during reflections, asked other people who might be able to help along. And I had no idea that I looked as if I was about to cry any time. Freak. But I didn't :D
Group reflections, and we did 360. Supposed to say something good and bad about each person in your group. When it came to Daniel I said that somehow we bonded after steamboat and he became like a brother to me. Julia - Gossip what! Miss Toh - Haha yeah the two of you bond over losing things -.-
Later when it came to my turn he said I was like his sister. Haha I don't know if he said it cause I said he was like a brother to me, but yeah (: (: (:
Group One's reflections ended after 1am, o.o Rest of the night spent packing. Siti came over to our room, Liyana and her shared a bed and slept, while Ting Wei brought her luggage over from next door and we packed together. Haha we were packing, laughing, gossiping, watching TV and talking. We didn't even know it was almost 5am lol. But we had loads of fun that night. :D OMG and ultimate. I closed my luggage with a sense of satisfaction, and i saw my PHONE! I almost screamed i tell you. OMG. I don't even know how the hell it landed up under my bed, behind my luggage. Tee hee. Must have dropped out when I was putting my luggage down. Nonetheless, I was simply overjoyed. :D :D :D
Shopped the next day, fun fun fun! Haha there wasn't really alot of time, so we were running from place to place. Haha we split up multiple times, and I ended up with Liyana. We were running late, had to rush back to the meeting point. Liyana - STOP! SHOES! Jessica - Okay hurry uh, no time already. (in the shop) Jessica - Eh I also want! (: Along comes Julia. Julia - Girls! Hurry, late already. OMG shoes! And she bought shoes too. HAHA. Girls will be girls.
Had lunch at the same place we had our first lunch, different food this time (: Haha when it was time to go, some of the people in our group were still at the washroom. So we walked out first, halfway towards the exit, Daniel - Oh shit my stuff.
o.o seriously, HAHA. That guy is epic I tell you. Forgetful to the max. I don't know how he can buy stuff and forget about them a while later. Haha on the second last day we had a 'lecture' from Miss Toh cause its always our group that's the last. Last to gather, last to get up the bus, last to get down. Miss Toh - These two guys (Alton and Daniel) will start looking for their things frantically and this fellow over here (Daniel) will go into self molestation mode. Guaranteed!
HAHA. Oh Alton. Haha one time, we returned to the bus after lunch. Suddenly, Alton - Eh I left my camera at the table A while later, he came back, Jessica - Found it? Alton - It was in my pocket.
-.-" boy, oh boy. HAHAHAHA. Group One will be Group One (:
 GROUP ONE! <3
Wrote letters during transit, and we wrote it while guarding the luggages. Damn, Alton and me looked like some animals on exhibit. People were staring at us as we wrote. o.o
MORE PICTURES NEXT TIME, I'M LAZY. HAHA (:Labels: SRGCE LiJiang (:
